ECWS was asked to replace a domestic water tank that was 20 years old. The hotel had a restaurant so downtime could only be from 12AM-6AM. The boiler room had zero room for any other equipment. The old tank was surrounded by pumps and pipes so the only way to remove the tank was to cut it into sections small enough to be handled by 2 people. Our proposal was to install an outside horizontal tank and re pipe the system. Switch-over to be performed after midnight. Downtime was less than 1 hour. The old tank then was removed during regular working hours.
